I use the power sunshade when I have rear seat passengers.

Also use it when car is parked in the sun. I try to park the car into a space where the sun will shine on the back so my seat won't get hot and I don't have to put a front sunshade up.

I have never owned a front sunshade. And the summer here in Dallas is always sunny and temperatures near or over 100 degrees.

I don't want to have to deal with a front sunshade - unfolding it and folding it, storing it...and I don't want anything touching the inside of my spotless windshield.

Default Rear Window Power Sunshade - When do you use it?

I only have the power shade up when I have someone in the back. With black interior, black headliner, 20% tint, and the shade up its quite dark back there.

I still wish the f sport package allowed the shades in the side windows.

Always except for winter up here in NE when warming sun is welcome.

Never use the rear shade, never used the side shades either. Rear passengers ogle them the first time they sit in the car and that's it.

I would assume the answer to the question varies depending on the weather conditions where people are located.

I have the rear power shade and side shades up all the time - TX resident here. As we know.. the rear one auto folds up & down when the car is put in reverse, so that's a big plus.

If I lived in a moderate summer or mixed climate area, I would probably keep them down besides when parking the car for long period of time in direct sunlight.

If I lived in a place with "ideal" temperature year around (i.e. most of Cali), I would probably have them down almost all of the time.

Oh, by the way.. I have people in my rear seats on occasion and they love using them. It's definitely a "luxury" class item.

My two cents,

I only use mine to show off to my friends and coworkers cause their cars don't have it. Other than that I don't use it cause I can't see if cops are following me, I need my back window to be clear so I know who's on my *** and adjust my speed properly.

Oh and when some dirtbag is using his high beams for no reason.

I never use the Power Sunshade because my car is tinted very dark.

The only time I will use it, if there's a lift up truck or van behind me with extremely bright cheap HID's

I have it up all day and all night, love the fact that it goes down when in reverse. I'm in Texas and I'm so happy to have it. It's 11:56pm here currently and the outside temp is 88.

I do the same thing. Only use it to show my friends and coworkers. +1 on can't see if cop is following me. I always roll it down so I can see if cop is sneaking up behind me.

I use it all the time when I park the car and in the sun. It's actually one of my most favorite features to see the sun shade go up and down. LOL

I have tint that cuts out heat, but I still use the rear shade on occasion when some knucklehead has a headlight out so he's running his brights instead. Some bouncy SUV's are also annoying like strobe lights in the rearview and I'll flip it up for them too.

Good thing to have when you need it.

I leave it up all the time. Had dealer turn off the option to put down in reverse.
