My 2014 GS has sun screens that can be put up quickly (stores inside door) and rear window has this in a automatic feature. First time having these but a great feature that rear passengers enjoy when the sun is really coming in strong.

I believe you are talking about a luxury package GS350. They have built in sun shades in the back doors that passengers can manually raise up and down.

Yeah, I'd love to have that option as well. As others have mentioned, it's part of luxury package and not something you can easily add after the fact. You'd probably have to replace your rear doors or something. Pic attached.
I'd be interested in hearing about any other options.

So is it as simple as removing the old door panels and installing new ones with the screens? I'm sure you would need the surrounds as well up top so that you can hook your screen to when you want to use it.

Has anyone ever come across or maybe seen a DIY sun shade for side windows? I've come across these online but I was wanting a more prefect fit.

I don't have any tint on my windows and I just wanted to keep the sun and it's heat out. Ill consider any DIY ideas.

They even make that stuff for commercial purposes, i.e. clear film that still traps the heat.
