Default Window hue color difference.

Today the sun was beaming into my car and I noticed that the rear window has a noticeably greener tint hue versus the front.

Also, I know for 2013 the water repellant front windows was part of the cold weather package; however, I could swear when I wash my 2015 the water just glides off of the windows and are nearly set vs. the soaked rear windows.

Wish we had kind of a list of features for our cars but I guess it would be a long one

Sounds like your front windows are laminated double pane glass.

Yes...yes it does. Its the laminated windows in the front vs the single pane in the rear. Same on my LS, more noticeable when the windows are tinted.

Thank you both, I knew about the dual pane! But was wondering about the water repellant part too

The front windows are water repellant, the rear are not. Thats not the cause of the color difference though, the dual vs single pane is.

My old GS Premium had dual pane but my FSport has single pane and it cost a lot more. What the hell?! Weight reduction maybe? Because Race Car?

It depends on the packaging, you needed the cold weather package to get the dual paned glass.

But I didn't have cold pack on my premium, it's just the cheapest base premium. I don't think cali gets cold packs here.

I'm good with my single, no funny colors and it won't mess up my tint since I cheaped out and didn't get it baked on.

I may be wrong but I think dual pane comes std on 15. I remember seeing a post from a SoCal member when he got his 15. Our RX also comes with dual pane too.

Thanks for your replies everyone, I'd ask Lexus but they didn't have a clue either. I showed them my dual pane glass, and they had no idea it was even standard on 2015

Another nice addition on the 15 along with dual panel is this extra rubber seal. The door closes a lot softer and I'm sure it helps with the wind as well.
