Default Funky smell from Driver's Seat.

I purchased my car second hand. I don't know if the previous owner was a big, sweaty dude who didn't take showers but....after driving in my car for certain periods, I get a funky body odor from the seat.

To help fix this, I sprayed vinegar/water onto the seat, let it stay and wiped up. I wonder if there's bacteria forming on the seat heat/cooling source? Should I get this addressed by the dealership? Thoughts?

You can try spraying some Lysol or Febreeze under the driver's seat, just make sure the seat fan is on high. And don't overdo it, small burst at a time. Let it dry in between sprays.

The vinegar spray kinda worries me. Especially if you have ventilated seats. Hopefully the vinegar didn't kill the foam or leather. I would put some protectant back on the leather after the vinegar wash.

Also, Seinfeld pops to mind.

Try this:

Amazon.com: Meguiar's G10916 Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner & Conditioner - 15.2 oz.: Automotive Amazon.com: Meguiar's G10916 Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner & Conditioner - 15.2 oz.: Automotive

I used this on mine and it cleans and makes my seats smell good.

might want to get a few of these boxes and put them under your seat too. should help absorb the stank. I use these in my work car and have done a pretty good job. ( side note: don't break wind with the ventilated seats on - bad idea )
