Default Joe-z catback, tanabe springs, plastidip fun~

Hello CL.

Just dropped the car with tanabe NF210 springs and installed Joe-z catback exhaust last weekend. Gotta love Joe-z exhaust

I decided to plastidip all the chrome trim this weekend and here is the final pix.

Used Anthracite grey with glosiifier Plastidip on front grill. I was going to use black and noticed our 4GS mesh grill is very similar to anthracite grey so I wanted to match the color so I decided to use this color for front chrome trim on the front grill.

Used black with glossifier plastidip on windows chrome trim. Came out ok. I was being patience and I messed up on 3rd coat by overs praying some parts but looks ok.

Used black with glossifier plastidip on emblems, chrome trim below L badge, and I also noticed 4gs rear diffuser comes with close to anthracite grey again so I used anthracite grey with glossifier plastidip on exhaust tips.

And I wasn't gonna do this but oh what da heck. I saw 3IS fsport with ultra white with red brakes and I thought it looked really good so I used G2 caliper paint kit to do the brakes with fsport decals.

Here is youtube video clips on revving in neutral, medium/hard acceleration and stop and go traffic / cruise mode on light acceleration.

That's it so far and I am stuck on choosing which wheels. Please help me with choosing the right wheels for my car.

Here are my choices.

1. Vossen CV7, VFS1, CVT (silver polish looks so goood but gunmetal looks so good too) or CV2 (machined). I can't decide on which color lol. Both finish looks really good.

2. velgen VMB8 or VMB9 (gunmetal color)

2. SSR wheels with lip (professor MS1, SP3, or even CV01 with SBC finish)

I always had volks, work, ssr wheels on my ride but now those concave wheels looks so damn sexy! Should I go with lip wheels or concave wheels? I looked so many pictures and I like them both equally so I can't decide. I even like both colors equally lol. (silver polish & gunmetal or SBC finish)

Thank you for looking.

I think the Vossen VFS1 and the CVT in gunmetal would look good. The CVT is something that is definitely something a bit different. Personally, I'd do the VFS1 but that's because I'm a bit a conservative in my style.

Great look on the car though. I need to redo my plastidip and this time use glossifier. Hopefully it'll look as good on a nebula grey 4GS.

Looks awesome! Is that an ebay lip?

Personally I would pick the Velgen's over the other two options you're considering. What do you think of the VMB5s? Seen these in silver and gunmetal on some white 4GSs and the color combo looks great.

looks good man

I had to watch out for that glossifier, not the same viscosity as the black or white color, tends to drip :/
What was your experience like with it?

Thank you. Yea I think gunmetal color is winner here with my car. I like unique CVT design but VFS1 looks too clean!

Yes, that is ebay lip. Only $99 shipped and fitment was not bad for ebay lip. I am saving lexon kit for future~ VMB5 looks really good too but I think I like VMB8 or 9 design better. I think white with gunmetal rims looks really good.

Thank you Meaht. I was gonna do the middle part like you but I just couldnt do it for now. I am not good at plasti dipping yet lol. I was afraid it will turn out bad cuz there are minor defects on windows trim, front grill and emblem. I'll do it one day hehe.

After looking at all the pix on 4gs wheel thread, I think gunmetal concave is way tout go.
I see members get 20x9 +32 and 20x10+45 but isn't that little aggressive? I imagine it will rub with 10.5 on the back... even 9 +32 might rub a little? Any one know if 20x9 +32 and 20x10+45 setup will be OK with tanabe nf210 springs?

Beautiful mods. Not digging the wheels though OEM is much better than those.

Nice looks good, I would go with the SSR CV01 wheels, they would look good and won't blend with the crowd.

Thank you. Yea that's why I am looking for new wheels. Leaning towards to gunmetal concave rims.

Thank you. Yea I like CV01 as much as vossen and velgen. I don't really see ssr cv01 on the road...
