Default Changing Interior to Wood Grain?

Has anyone with the current GS non luxury thought of or know of changing the interior from the silver look to the wood grain look? I have the 15 F-Sport and love the exterior but miss the wood look of my 08 GS. Definitely want to get a pre owned GSF once they are out and drop in price but would love to have the best of both worlds with the luxury wood interior and the sports and engine of the GSF. I was looking how the E63s and M5s all have wood options but Lexus seems to give only one option.

My guess is you can buy all the wood trim panels and replace them. Probably not worth the cost.

you could look up the part numbers at an online parts dealer or call your parts desk. Total swag, 2 grand plus.

It is crazy expensive when I looked - if I remember it was more than 4K.

If anyone in the Bay area wants the metal interior - definitely look me up - I would love to trade.

The steering wheel alone is like 2 grand. Good luck.

I looked into this as well...regardless of the trim you want to switch to, it over $2K unless you are changing the steering wheel as well- then you're looking at $4K+.

My guy at the parts desk said to wait a while...the trim will come down significantly in price. He said its up there now because the cars are new(er).

It's not difficult to change out, just time-consuming because you don't want to end up scratching or chipping the panels.

Hope this helps.

If you have matte walnut and want to do a change to Alu - I'll pay for a mechanic to do the exchange.

I have a set of wood grain trim set sitting in my garage after I parted out base model GS... dashboard & door panels pieces. I don't mind to exchange to Fsport trim set
