GS 350 front bumper black to match sport grill
Hi Fellas,
Hope everybody is enjoying their GS as much as I am.
I have a 2013 Starfire pearl F sport.
I want to black out the portion of front bumper to match with my F sport grill. Any body has any experience doing this? What options do i have? What should be the best approach. Thanks much.

Blackening-out the mid-section of the bumper integrates the upper and lower grill, to give a a cleaner and simpler one-piece spindle grill look.
The July 2012 4.5LS, 2013 3IS, 2014 1RC etc onwards, all received blacked-out bumpers from the factory:
I suspect vinyl wrap is easier on the bumper, but we can PlastiDip.
We can choose matt finish, or gloss finish.
Personally, I'm beginning to feel that gloss looks classier, and more current and in-vogue like cell phones and hi-fi equipment - while matt black is more 1990's like?

Else go to PlastiDip.com.
Use Glossifier if a glossy finish in PlastiDip is wanted.
Matt finish:
Gloss finish:
Be careful of the left and right finish lines on the bumper; some finish lines look better than others.
This left/right finish line below is perfect:
This left/right finish line in gloss is quite good too, but notice how the lower left/right corners are slightly rounded joining the lower grille?
This one has very good left/right finish lines too, with a colored lower lip to provide "contrast":
Here is nice left/right finish lines in gloss grey, and the top plate of the lower lip may have been wrapped/PlastiDipped as well?
Here's one with a very nice left/right finish line in matt carbon fiber vinyl wrap:
Here, the left/right finish lines may be a bit short? Notice how the black out doesn't quite touch the chrome trim?
Here, the left/right finish line on the bumper may be too wide, but it has been deliberately done to black out the lower lip for a meaner look.
Personally, I prefer the lower lip left white for some contrast, and no need to remove the lower grille either.
Because the lower lip is very curved and complex in shape, it may be easier to PlastiDip if one wants to black out the lower lip.

Please post a picture of your GS with middle bumper blacked out
I'm considering but don't know where to end and what material to use. Please post a picture of yours and share your thoughts. Many thanks in advance.

GS 350 front bumper black to match sport grill
Been thinking of wrapping the front on my GS too. I have liquid platinum and I think it would look great with the mid section wrapped in a color close to nebula grey to match the grills as opposed to black. Has anyone done this?

Thanks Eddy and Peteharvey. I replied last night but not sure what happened. It didn't take my post after I merged mine to the original thread. The little opening on the driver's side is what concerns me. I'm a bit OCD I guess.
Peteharvey,
It's becoming scary to read more posts from you. BTW, you need to share a picture of your ride.

I haven't got around to blackening the mid section of my bumper yet, nor dorning chrome door handle covers.
Right now, I'm probably more concerned about the 19" ride; I'm like SWLS15 - into plush rides.
The 18" 9 spoke pair OEM's ride well, but look terrible.
Also would like to beef up the amp.
I think the 4GS has a 700 Watt OEM amp? I think it needs much more power than that.
Thinking of using Alpine, but they only seem to output 150 Watts by four channels...
