Does anyone know if there is an alternative oil filter housing or does toyota make one size only?

found an upgrade housing on amazon but it's just a replacement

I'm very curious myself... upgraded to do what exactly? It holds an oil filter and doesn't burst under pressure =) You mean a conversion kit to allow a spin on oil filter? Are you looking for a dressup item?

If you want a sexy underpan add bit of bling with a fumoto valve.

Aren't the ones on our car already made out of metal? The Amazon one say's it's an upgrade for housings made of plastic.

The filter housing is also behind a plastic cover so...bling is not bling if it cannot be seen.

I've never changed my oil on the 4gs myself so i didn't know it was metal. What i'm looking for is a larger filter so that there would be more surface area for the oil to flow into. That way, you can run a much higher contraint filter and also have higher flow.

The 2gs had a larger filter that is almost twice the size of the oem...i'm looking for the same setup. I doubt there is an option besides building a custom one - which is a no-go.
