Default Think Design Center Floor brace

Do any of you GS350 RWD owners have this?

http://www.think-design.jp/center_floor_brace_top.html

Since I have an AWD model, I contacted Think Design in Japan and was told that it would fit my car. After receiving it, I tried to install it but it doesn't fit due to the transmission tunnel being too wide. I just wanted to verify if I received the RWD brace and what the measurements were. Shipping it back to them would be too costly so I'll try my luck selling it if it is indeed for the RWD model.

Thanks,

Roger

I'm surprised the OEM floor brace needs any strengthening, because there would be no driver/owner/Lexus downside in having a super strong floor brace. My question is - why did Lexus use an OEM floor brace that needs to be strengthened to prevent chassis flex when cornering hard? Also, how much horsepower and torque does it add?

It's similar to their rear suspension braces. The stock ones are hollow tubes (that I can bend with my massive arms) while the Think Design ones are solid. Not saying our cars "need" it but its JDM tyte yo......

A strut bar and some thicker sway bars will add the same rigidity you are seeking and more.
