Default Service Record at Lease end?

anyone experiencing this?

Does Lexus require proof of scheduled maintenance at lease end and charge money if not provided? It seem like Lexus wants records at the time of inspection per their website.

I have 15K mile service due which is worthless/waste of money and time, but will need to get it if lexus requires a record later when I turn it in.

When I returned my 2013 GS350 F-sport after the lease, they didn't ask for any proof scheduled maintenance. Idk whether it was because I returned it to the dealer I usually service at, but they didn't even ask anything about it. I skipped 15K and 25K service because as you said, they are worthless. Since nothing major is being done (I.e., oil change), Lexus probably doesn't care if you skip them. You can reset the maintenance light yourself.

I've never been asked for that when I traded in 5 Camrys with TFS (LFS is TFS).

I'm skipping the 5K miles and plan to do oil changes only every 10K miles for the next 3 years and change air filters myself. That's all this car needs anyway. Why waste money for stuff that u can do at home? If they inspect for leaks, just pop the hood and get a flashlight and start looking for unusual liquid residue, if u see nothing then ur good.

Is the dealership telling you this or are you reading the lease document. If your reading the lease document you shouldn't worry you don't have to go to every maintenance you can just do the oil changes. Even if the dealer told you that you can do only oil changes and not worry. I know someone that beats the crap out a lease and doesn't do proper maintenance, as I'm sure more will chime in on that.

yes it's in the lease contract. You need to do all scheduled maintenance and lexus will ask for a copy at lease end. it even talks about it here. https://www.lexusfinancial.com/pub/s...nspection.html

I think i'll skip 5K service, but will definitely document my 20K service.

Maybe its like that in the west coast but they sure don't check that here, my sister has a RX lease and didn't have to provide service records, just bring it back and replace it with a new car..

if you're leasing another car from them, they won't bother or even question you even if you didn't do first oil.

This,

however if you are returning the car and not getting another lease through them...some will be a little more picky and ask for stuff like that.
