Custom Wheels - What is the ideal offset?
I have been reading the various threads regarding ideal wheel size and offset and have a few questions based on your experiences. Thank you for your help!
I have a 2014 GS350 AWD F-Sport and have recently purchased a set of J5 coilovers to install with new staggered 20" rims and tires. I will also be using a rear camber arm (SPC or FIGS - also appreciate if anyone has suggestions here as well). Plan to lower the vehicle to get roughly a 1" wheel gap all the way around.
From what I can gather the members with Vossen wheels (20x10.5 et45 and 285/30/20 tires) sometimes get rubbing in the rear depending on the tire choice and how low the car is.
Some companies (AG, Stance etc) offer custom offsets - If you could customize the offset for a 20x10.5" wheel what would the perfect offset be? Would you still do the 45 offset or would you go slightly higher? Would a 10" wheel be ideal? I love concave wheels so don't want to get too high of an offset but also don't want any rubbing at all.
My worry is that some members are having rubbing issues with a bit of camber helping them tuck into the fender - with the camber arm would the rubbing/fitment be worse??
I have never done any of this before so any help is very appreciated!

When camber arms are used, there is a higher chance of rubbing because the idea is to tip the tire outward to correct the added camber from lowering the car.
