Default Anybody use techstream to program TPMS on the 4GS?

As some of you know, I recently got a set of 2015 RC FSport 19's and I tried using techstream to program the new TPMS set but I keep getting this error message after inputting the sensor Id's

"Terminate initialization by connecting TC and CG of the DLC3 for 30 seconds. Then try the registration procedure again."

I found a TSB for other Toyota vehicles, which say to use a jumper wire from pin 13 (TC) to pin 4 (CG) on the DLC3. Has anyone been successful reprogramming the TPMS IDs? Did you have to go through this?

I don't want to damage anything being cheap and not wanting to goto the dealer

Techstream is the system Lexus/Toyota/Scion dealers use to communicate with the cars on board computers. It is connected through the OBD II port and can do everything from reset check engine light to disable the seat belt chime or DRL function.

Info from toyota.techinfo.com:

Techstream 2.0 combines the functionality of TIS and the scantool into a single portable device. With Techstream 2.0, technicians can simultaneously view/analyze on–board vehicle data, browse relevant TIS service documents, and reprogram vehicles all from the driver's seat via wireless connection to TIS. The Techstream 2.0's Panasonic CF-31 PC provides a bigger and brighter screen, faster processor, longer battery life, and a bigger keyboard over its predecessor. The Snap-on backpack offers a durable all–in-one package for technicians.

Scantool Diagnostics
Techstream 2.0 offers full support for 1996 – current vehicles marketed in North America. Periodic software updates will be available to support new models. Techstream 2.0 provides quick and easy access to all available systems on the vehicle as well as a one touch vehicle status report (Health Check).

Vehicle Reprogramming
Toyota/Lexus/Scion ECMs can be reprogrammed using the Techstream 2.0 scantool. Techstream 2.0 software version requirements are specified in applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), which can be accessed with a subscription to this website. Older documents may state to use the TIS Techstream or Diagnostic Tester as being the required tool. Techstream 2.0 techstream is the replacement for the Techstream 1.0 and Diagnostic Tester and can be used for all 1996–current Toyota/Scion/Lexus vehicles marketed in North America.

You need to buy the right cable for it. The software won't write any data with the cable that they sell on ebay or amazon. You need the real one, which I think cost around $100.

I don't think that's 100% true because I took the wheels from my 4GS and put them on my 2007 GS450h.. I was able to retrieve the TPMS ID's that were still stored on my 4GS and it programmed to my GSh perfectly.. Then when i got the IDs for the RC wheels I got that error notice

The ebay cable will only work on Lexus models made before 2012. It will not work with the new models, it will connect and read the data, but it won't write it.

Yeah, you can also clear the error codes with the ebay cable. But try doing something more advanced, it won't let you.

I would not dare and try to do anything advance, even if I had the $5000 OEM setup. I bought it to do all the dealer custom settings. And it does that with flying colors. If the car has a problem, its going to the dealer.
