Default Chimes for no reason when exiting?

Our 2103 GS most times when you exit of the chimes going off until you close the door.

Everything is off and I have no idea why it does this. I asked the dealer a while back but they gave me the "No problem found".

I am going back and telling them I want an explanation but was wondering if anyone ix experiencing this.

Again nothing is left on and it doesn't matter whether the automatic headlights are on of off

It usually chimes when there is an open window or sunroof.

That's the thing, everything is closed up. No warnings on the dash or anything

Does it chime once on the inside or multiple times on the outside?

If you open the door before the power drivers seats withdraws on exit you will normally also get a chime.

I always open my door before the steering wheel and seat stop moving and never heard a single chime, unless I forgot to close my sunroof.

+1 i think this is what the OP is talking about. As with many of the Lexus Vehicles, when you open the door before you press the button to turn the engine off, it will chime letting you know the steering column isn't locked yet. So its functioning correctly. Try shutting off the engine first before opening the door, you should hear the steering wheel lock and no chime will sound.

you mentioned most of the time so i assuming sometimes it doesnt. when it does, did you happened to off the engine when with your driver side door open? sometimes, i will open the door to take a look when i was reversing and will off the engine once properly parked with gear in P but door open, that it when it chime until i have the door close.

I find if the audio is not turned off before turning the ignition off then you will get chimes, among the other reasons that have been stated

So you turn your radio off before you get out of your car?

Turning the radio off makes no sense... if you have that as a reason for chimes then something is WRONG with your car. That's absurd!

U guys should not be turning off ur radio or A/C or wait for ur seat to complete its moves before getting out of the car and it shouldn't chime unless u left a window open!

There is something wrong with ur car if it chimes when all the windows are closed, take it to the dealer and have them diagnose it. Maybe ur key battery is low.
