$38-$42k for good title car

$25k to $30k for salvage title (refurbished to factory standards)

These are on average the pricing being paid, but can vary depending on what area of the country you are located in.

Should be closer to $40k. The advantage to a certified car is the additional warranty. Dealers usually add about $2500 for the "certified" status to their cars.

Would it be a better idea to buy a non-certified car and save $2500 for "repairs"?

So do you think 43k is not doable?Don't wanna loose the deal over a couple grand, besides the dealer wasn't budging, not even another grand.
The car checks out clean looks good,is a 1 owner car as well.

I would say if all the specs are right on the car and checks out on Carfax and Autocheck you should be good. The AWD tends to bring a little more in the market.

Paying a little more to get what you want is not always a bad idea. Good luck on our purchase!

Did an independent mechanic check out the car?

seems a tad high. But if it has all the options you want and is in great condition then as long as you are happy with it , that is all that matters.

I paid $40K even for a very similar car with $27K miles but not CPO.

I recently got 2013 GS350 F sport with 26000 miles. They asked me 40k. I ended up paying with 39k.

No.

To answer an earlier question - I have researched this for quite some time - and you should not pay more than 40K - preferably 38K for this car. There was a thread going around earlier which discussed that these options - i.e. Luxury or sports, don't add much value when the car is being traded back to the dealer. Hence, you may have a lot of wiggle room..
