Default Like most people, confused about dropping a GS350F on Springs!

I've gotten many recomendations and advice but it always comes down to personal taste and wants/needs. I just got a 2015 GS-Fsport last week and I'll be installing Vossen CV3's in 20x9 and 20X10 in Graphite color on my bright white car. OF COURSE I want to get rid of the fender gap but I also want a (as close to possible) stock ride. I've gotten reccomendations on Swift, Tanabe, RSR, RSR Super Downs, Eibach...etc...

I took these pics at my local dealership JM Lexus in Margate FL. These are Tanabe 210's (as I was told by the dealership). I believe this is the perfect drop for my purposes. I'm planning on running Nitto Invos 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 on 20x9 and 20x10. The wheels/tires pictured are Vossen VFS2's 245/35/20 front 20x9 and 275/30/20 rear 20x10.5. I'm not a fan of the stretched out tire side wall and the exposed wheel lip pictured here which is why I plan to use a 20x10 rear wheel on the same size tire.

Comments/suggestions and pictures are welcome regarding springs and tire/wheel fitment!

Rear 275/30/20 on 20x10.5 Vossen

Front 245/35/20 on 20x9

Peace,

Jason

Your ride will be stiffer/rougher (but not harsh) due to the 20" wheels more so than lowering mwith Tanabes. Tanabe rides almost like stock. Can't speak for the other springs.

Tanabes are way too soft. you will have body roll and rub on fast turns. Trust me I've been there.look for a higher spring rate set of springs.hope that helps.

I am in the exact situation you are in and don't want the fender roll nor camber issues. I am in between the Tanabe 210 or RSR downs. I just posted a thread in the suspension section saying that on a F Sport the RSR are only .4-.6 drop and Tanabe are 1.1-1.2 but every picture I see with both springs the gap space looks inconsistent. I want the most drop but no issues as its my dd. Never heard of them being soft are the RSR better?

Thanks for this input - Though Tanabes are supposedly around 5% stiffer than stock, did you have rubbing issues with stock F Sport wheels and tires or were you also running a larger wheel/tire combo?

What springs do you suggest over the Tanabe's for stock like ride without rubbing issues then?

Wheel Offset matters more than width if concerned with rubbing. A wheel 9" wide will rub if offset is too aggressive...

^^Second this! You will not rub with Tanabes on stock wheels. If you get aftermarket wheels, then make sure your offset is more positive (less aggressive) and you will not rub.

I'm on Tanabes NF210 and I rub on the drivers side fender . I have 20x9 in the front +34 I believe . They seem a little too bouncy for me.

Your offset is too low. Stock offset is +45, I believe. I have the same problem. And yes, tanabes are bouncy, but no more than stock.

I'm really liking the ride of my RSR Super downs, stance is perfect as well. Almost wish it was a little lower. Feels like you're in Sport + mode all the time.

What size tire are you running that you're rubbing?

Swift has one of the best spring rates without having to lower it so much. Spring rate is 5 front and 7.5 rear.
Wish what percentage stiffness increase it is to stock.

The problem with swift is the drop is too subtle, IMO.

I'm the OP....Lots of great comments/suggestions so far...keep them coming! Ideally, we would like to drop our cars only once!....So the conversations really matter! Like I said, I like the drop pictured in my post with the tanabes, I couldn't drive the car since it was in their showroom so I have no idea about the ride quality. I think I'm between the tanabe 210 and RSR super downs. I realize that's a big difference but getting the ride quality to match stock ( as much as possible) is as important to me and the elimination of the fender gap. Thanks for all the replies so far

Peace,

Jason
