Default Price paid for clear bra?

I was quoted $650 to have Xpel installed to the front bumper, headlights, hood and front fenders. This same thread was in the IS section.

Any GS members had it done?

not a bad price if you are talking xpel ultimate.

i had mine done for 1000.it's awesome because you can't really put swirls... so i'm **** about washing the back half, but the front half... i just dry with anything and it looks fantastic.

I'm assuming that's partial hood, not full hood. That's a pretty fair price to be honest.

I paid slightly more for XPEL Ultimate on my GS450h. But mine also included the headlights for my car (which in addition to preventing against scratches, even helps prevent oxidization on the lens, so the highlights fading them/turning them yellow over time is a lot less common).

Definitely recommend XPEL Ultimate for the ability to prevent rock chips, which I absolutely hate seeing on the front bumper. I bought my car outright (not a lease/financed), intend to keep it for a long time (10+ years), and also do a lot of highway driving.. so the clear bra was practically a no brainier.

Hope this helps,

Do those prices include any paint correction before applying the PPF?

up to the installer, I did mine when the car was a week old, so I had nothing to do other than detail for the xpel application. the detailing and prepwork was all done by the installer.

i hope this is for the full hood, not half. half is not worth it.

631coatings did my whole front bumper, fenders, side sills, and full hood w/ no lines showing on my black Infiniti-- best money I spent on it!

he uses suntek and doesn't yellow and is more durable than xpel is for film

I haven't seen anyone quoted for less than $900 for a full hood install of Xpel Ultimate. That's why I really doubt the OP's quoted price of $650 is a full hood install.

Even a partial hood, it covers the lower half of the hood where you're most likely to get rock chips from flying down a highway. It's definitely better than not having any sort of clear bra - especially for those that do a lot of open highway driving.

Of course full hood is definitely the best option, but be prepared to open up that wallet of yours.

The $650 was for half the hood, fenders, bumper, headlights and mirrors.

Yes, this is for the Xpel Ultimate.

$1600 for Xpel Utltimate's full package which covers most of the vehicle.

While Expel Ultimate is the nicest looking PPF it's not as durable as 3m's flagship product. I already noticed a tear in the trunk lip, and I may have gone into the trunk a half dozen times at most

My dealer showed me how easy Xpel tears when compared to 3M product. For areas like rocker panels that take a lot of abuse 3m is a better choice, and your not going to notice the Orange Peel affect that low on the car.
I'm going to have him replace my trunk lip with 3m.

The 3m on my Acura TL is 10 years old now. As it has NOT yellowed. I do however wax and polish it on a regular basis just like the rest of the car.

There is one small spot on the bumper that that bubbled and it has yellowed. But it is exposed to the elements both sides and doesn't get waxed and polished.

Can you elaborate on "most of the vehicle"?
