I had a 1993 SSEi with the HUD display and missed it greatly. I have been driving an E39 540i for 11 years, and just purchased a 2013 GS 350 with a HUD because I missed it. Had to buy one from far, far away and have it shipped to me. That's how far I went for the HUD option. Waiting for it to arrive in the next few weeks.

It is strange to me that the hud is so hard to find. Mine was the only one in Atlanta I could find over 1.5 months of looking. If you go look at a 5 series almost every single one has it now. Wonder why this is ????

Hard to say. All I can say is, I loved the HUD in my GS and always kept it on MPH display. I would have never traded for another car that didn't have some type of digital MPH display that would let me know at a glance how fast I was going. Lexus spoiled me on that one.

No kidding. I grew up in Florida. Left there 9 years ago for Texas. Love it here, but there's nothing like that here either unless you go to the Hill Country. At least you have palm trees.

Living is Dallas is quite ugly. But at least we have no state income tax and a lower cost of living.
It all comes at a price. Haha
