Default IF the '13/'14 GS doesn't have wind noise issues...

why do the '15 F-sports come with dual pane windows now?

not starting a debate, but obviously there were complaints which is why lexus made improvements.

what do you guys think?

My suspicion is (a) yes there is more wind noise than an ES or LS. (b) Lexus is torn between wanting to be sporty and having some noise in the cabin and keeping it Lexus quiet.

So customers upgrade from their ES's and then ***** about a miniscule amount more wind noise because it isn't a tomb.

Idk I was surprised at how not quiet my GS is. Oh well I still love it. The summer tires that came on are sucky and loud though

My '13 F Sport has single pane windows and I have no wind noise issues. I wouldn't have kept the car for almost 3 years if it had.

You will always get a certain degree of road noise on certain surfaces, but I replaced my Dunlops with Michelin Pilot Super Sports and that helped a lot, not to mention in the handling department. Vastly superior.

I am basically waiting for my tires to thin out a bit to switch. Or just finally move to 20/21s...

I want 20s but then I'd feel the need to lower it too and I don't want to lose the adaptive suspension.

I don't believe the glass would make a difference with wind noise. Wind noise comes from either design problems such as a mirror, or a bad seal that let's air leak. Double pain glass will help reduced ambient noise getting through .

You won't lose the adaptive suspension if you lower with just springs. I hear J5 coil overs keep the AVS too but I don't know too much about it. And on 20s, you will have a louder ride but not terribly louder.

Yeah - I suspect tire choice matters more than size in the end. And I am not even considering lowering until I get out of my current place with its steep driveways, speed bumps, etc.
