How to remove the rear door window trim garnish?
Hey all. A passenger today dropped a bottle and it left a little ding in the chrome trim at the base of the passenger side rear door window. Its really minor but the trim is about $55 @ Sewell, worth replacing if I can do it myself.
Those of you that have wrapped/painted your trim, how do I go about removing and replacing that piece of trim. My guess is it just pops on...

Thats why i dont let anyone ride in my car or drive my car without my supervision. When i need to take someone somewhere i take my wifes car cuz it already has scratches and dents cause by her driving so whats another few bump matters? I loaned my car to my wife for 15 minutes and she came back with a curb rash. Dont trust anyone! Lol.
I have never ever needed to pry off that window trim so i would not know how to take it off. Is it the chrome trim?

I stopped giving rides in my car after 2x curbed door and dirty interior. I only give rides to people who treat their cars like I do with mine.

The chrome trim on the bottom of the window...
Unfortunately I drive people around for work lol, not a lot of options there.

I think the door panel has to come off first before u can remove that piece.
But this one looks easy, don't know if it's the same process but it's still a Toyota.

Great find! Yeah this is my guess about how it works. Wouldn't make sense to have to remove the door panel, the window is between that exterior trim and the door panel.
