Default Trading in S4 for GS F Sport

I'll be trading in my '10 S4 today and leasing a '14 GS F sport

MSRP is 59,368
Invoice 55,689
Cap cost price: 50,898 (after 2k lease rebate)
Residual 67%
27m at 10k/yr
0.000425 MF

0 down drive off will be about $510 before taxes

Sound like a good deal?

it's the 2014 model year and I believe they are trying to clear them off the lot

This is probably why residuals are lower at 67% compared to 2015 at 72% for 27m and 10/yr

seems like a great lease deal to me.

Although this is my first lexus and my wife will be the main driver.

Congrats on the GS and welcome to CL.....

If you don't mind me asking, whats the reason for getting out of S4, lease coming to end, problems, want a change?

warranty ended for the S4 and it's at 51k miles now.

This is my first time leasing and I think it'll save $$ over the long run vs buying and paying tax on the full amount as I have a 2yr cycle for switching cars.

I'll miss the DSG transmission and responsiveness of the supercharged V6.

Yeah for an FSport! Normally that price is for the Premium (non-FSport).

And that is with zero down.

I'm paying extra for the badges

I've yet to drive the 4GS, so i'm hoping the suspension is as tight as the S4 on dynamic mode.

Oh it's more than just the badges. The FSport drives totally different than the non-FSport in Sport+ mode. I switched from a Premium to FSport in 5 months into my lease because of that.

Just don't use any harsh cleaning/detailing products on the wheels, the paint is very soft, and absolutely no buffing the wheels, not on the FSport wheels.

selling price is 50,989 so that's why the lease price is quite low.

This is before factoring in my trade in.

the one thing i liked about the audi was the different driving modes.

comfort/auto/dynamic/custom

Nope, really nice custom paint job. I laaaike it.

The price is good $50.8 with rebate, so without the rebate its $52.8, which very good.
Do you know how much Tax are you going to pay? FYI some states they have a TAX break, for example in TX some dealerships have TAX pool which allows them not to collect the full %, I paid for GS only 1.5% tax, my wifes accord we only pay 2% Tax, in Texas its 6.5% sales tax rate.

You may also qualify for the TAX break for the Trade In. I would ask all these questions.

unfortunately, CA does not have these tax breaks.

I would've saved so much on taxes all these years if I had leased instead of purchasing.

If I purchased instead of lease, I would not get the 2k lease rebate. So 52.8k seems about a fair market price for a 2014 model.

I just plugged in your numbers, I get $460/m. something is not right. I got $528/m with 7.5% tax. I think they are lying to you about the MF or they have $1700 in fees, with your numbers before the TAX I get MF.001.

So, I also added a $1,000 for fees and I got $485/m before tax, with tax $558 using 0.000425 MF
