GSF, what to learn from RCF initial reviews...
So far, the initial reviews of the RCF have been lukewarm. And it all boils down to its weight at nearly 4k pounds. That's more than the 4GS!
What can Lexus learn from this? Well, the M5 has already been criticized for feeling like a barge. With the new GSF surely to debut in the near future, Lexus needs to keep the weight down and the HP up to compete.
I was hoping the RCF would outperform the M4. From the initial reviews, I wouldn't be on it. Let's hope for a better debut in the GSF!

I can't get over the ugly front end. That design is so overblown and I still hate the IS-type nike LED's. I was hyped about it before, but the more I see it, the less I like it.

As long as the weight is less than its competitors and HP on par, Lexus will have a winner. The 4GS is already lighter than the 535.
And I agree with Afrosheen. I hate the separate Nike swoosh DRL. Keep the lights the same (integrated into the headlight unit). I read somewhere that Lexus stated that all future cars will have this separate DRL-- No please! However, I do like the aggression of the spindle. Lexus needs to lose the reputation of blaaah design after all.

Nike swoosh is actually part of Lexus "L" logo. If you look at the logo carefully the bottom portion of "L" is the Nike swoosh. I didn't like the separation of DRL either in the beginning but you get use to it. And if you see the lights at night it looks like it's part of the headlight.

I actually don't mind the RC-F headlights. The shape of the lens seems flush with the front end and doesn't protrude like the current IS headlights (which look ridiculously weird to me).
The RC-F's weight may be an issue, but we'll have to wait and see. Journalist look at numbers and form an opinion before they even drive a car. Based on my experience the mags get these things wrong sometimes. I'm sure the RC-F's won't disappoint.
