This topic has been raised by another in another well-known Lexus forum with no respondents.

The ML system boasts 5.1 Dolby but what is to be used as a music source? It seems that DVD audio discs are few and far between and I have doubts that it will decode surround from the USB source - certainly the USB will not process a video file in mpeg or mov format.

So, if I want to hear surround sound in my GS250 with premium audio, how do I do it?

i think you only get surround sound when you play a DVD film, although when you listen to music from any source and turn the surround sound on and off it does alter the sound .
