You're welcome, and you got a great car. If I were to go for another GS F Sport it would be Atomic Silver. Stunning! Congratulations!

Yes....as everyone mentioned. I miss the big torque of my 550i but am quite pleased with my F Sport. Its a well equipped sedan for long trips and a agilel sedan for DD needs. And, most of all I'm looking forward to many years of care free driving. Peace of mind trumps power and torque for me.
THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THAT COMMENTED IN THIS THREAD.

PIC: My 550i last seen here...about a hour just before I met this Lexus:
Congratulations. My 550 lease is up next month and I already bought an Audi A7 to replace it. We love out GS too though.

Did you get caught up in the 550 Customer Care issues?

Yep...My long term confidence in the N63 motor just went out the window even after getting the recall stuff done. Plus, I was worried about the future resale value. Thought I'd let the car go before the concern with the N63 becomes madness with the general public (i.e. something like "CNN newsflash...BMW does massive recalls on V8...etc") and diminish the value of the car. Its already started at my stealer, he offered me only $35K (my car only had 17K) but luckily the local Car Max had not gotten the memo yet. They offered me $42. Well I'm really going to miss the 550i but I took the check and drove straight to the Lexus dealer.
I bet your dealer will wince when you take back the leased 550i. I'd even venture to say you could buy the car way, way under low blue book should you fancy that (I personally would not bet the future on the N63 even with the recall parts)
Thanks,

I have been driving an E39 540i Sport now for 11 years, 1999 model. I just purchased a GS350 to replace it. Unquestionably the No. 1 driver for why I replaced it are the maintenance costs. For the last 11 years, I have been spending a tremendous amount on maintenance. Yes the 540i has the best driving feel, I can feel the road and it takes the turns without a hitch. The acceleration is tremendous. At first it seemed like the GS leans a little bit in turns, until I shifted into Sport + mode a few days ago, and with that it behaves more like the 540i, so I am happy with that. Transmission shifting is much smoother. And of course, with the Lexus I do not have to worry about all of the maintenance costs and the inconvenience of taking it in to the shop when I also have to drop off my son at daycare every day and then go to work. Besides the maintenance, the one reason I finally decided to switch was due to the looks of the GS. I saw one on the freeway and thought - hey, that's a nice looking ride. Take the reliability + looks and that's what finally did it tor me.
