Default Oil Change Question

Hello everyone ,

Was curious what everyone uses for their oil changes. Can I go to Mobil 1 Synthetic? Or is Toyota oil only recommended ?

I saw someone here use some purple brand . Thanks for your help

After I get my free oil changes, I'll be using Amsoil thereafter.

a free oil change isn't worth letting the dealership touch your gs....

I just use the cheapest 0W20 and no issues whatsoever.

By the time the car breaks down, it'll be time to get a new one!

Just use whatever major brand you desire. I doubt the engine will have issues whether you used one brand over another. They all seem to work the same.

What brand of oil?

You could always go to the Lexus dealer for service (at least for the first "free" one!) and note which oil was put in your vehicle by those in a position both to know how and to benefit financially from protecting your engine. It's right there on the service report in black and white...

Didn't know this until I read your reply, but I searched and it's true! All 0W20 is either synthetic or synthetic blend. I agree, just use the cheapest 0W20 oil that bears the API certification seal. Got a feeling this is about to turn into another "battle of the oils" threads. Jellybean out.
