Default Using 3rd generation cool air intake

Does anyone have experiences of replacing the intake with sound generator with the one without (3 generation GS)? Given the age of mine, I believe it's better for me to switch a quiter setting. Can anyone provide some insight regarding this? Thanks

You can put the K&N CAI for the 4GS in...which is actually quieter than the sound generator. $190.

I've done it....and not all that happy about it, as I wanted the growl from the 3GS K&N CAI...which is what I thought I was getting.

Using stock intake from the 3rd generation GS350 should be fine, right?

I don't think the airbox will fit but the pipe will.

But again, u will lose the sound. This thing will be quiet.

The stock air intake from the 3rd Generation GS350 will fit. I know of someone in the Singapore Lexus community who bought it from Sewell Lexus Parts online and did a straight swap with the louder 4th Gen air intake.

Thank you. it's good to know. I can keep the original one and use it on a "needed" base

I checked my past correspondence with my fellow local Lexus member who did the swap and this is his response verbatim regarding the parts he ordered from Sewell :

(1) Hose , Air Cleaner ( 1788131090 )

(2) Resonator , Intake Air ( 1789331040 )

(3) Tube , Union ( Fog Air Cleaner Hose ) ( 9090406008 )

I bought other clamps such as 9046090005 , 9611110880 , 2384131040 and 9611110380. But my installer did not use it...He says he used my OEM 2012 GS 350 as it can be used.
