Really nice F-Sport at my local dealer
I have been watching the GS350's for the last few months. I am not quite ready to buy yet (I need to get some financial issues sorted out first) and am thinking about the October to December range depending on when the right car comes along. My wish list is: F-Sport, ML stereo, BSM, dynamic steering, and if possible the HUD (I know, I want it all). I don't have to have everything but I will try to get as much on the list as possible. I have been planning on getting a used model and am OK with either 2013 or 2014 and would prefer to have under 25,000 miles. Hopefully, I will have some come available toward the end of the year.
I just recently went by the dealer and they have a new 2014 F-Sport. It is the dark gray with the red interior and it has it all (ML, BSM, HUD, dynamic steering, forged wheels and more). It is totally sharp. it has a price tag of 66,000 out the door. This is more than I am going to be paying, but is sure is nice. I have gone by a few times just to look. I am hoping that I can find something similar that is used in a couple of months for a price more in my range (maybe a lease turn in). Actually, my ideal would be the black interior and while I really like the wheels, I could handle the standard. Still, this is one hot car. I have nor real point here, I just wanted to talk about it.

That sounds a bit high. That's including TTL? My '13 had the same options and had an MSRP of $60k. I wonder how they are adding for the forged wheels... FTR, I got my car used for a little under $50k and it had 10,000 miles and was only 8 months old.

That is where I hope to wind up with a used model. The forged wheels were $4,000.00 and the price was with tax title et. al. Still, it is high for me. If I could get everything else (no forged wheels) for around $48,000 on a 2014 or less on a 2013 I would feel pretty good.

You won't get anything but forged wheels on any GS. That's just how they come. However, the non F Sports get 18" as opposed to 19" wheels. If I were you, and wanted a cheaper F Sport, I'd look at the 2012 manufacture "2013" GS's that have come off lease. There should be a few floating around by now.

$4k for those wheels is a ripoff, you can buy them from Sewell for $450 each:

As yardie said this isn't the case. None of the GS wheels that come stock are forged, be they 17, 18 or 19. Lexus sells a forged F Sport wheel as an accessory thats forged. SW13GS is assuming the buyer would use the CLUBLEXUS discount available at Sewell Parts. That would put each wheel around $450 before tires, TPMS, mounting/balancing, and shipping.

The wheels pictured above were not the wheels on this particular car. I didn't take a picture but the spokes were recessed into the wheel. They also had an F-Sport badge on the wheel, and they had Michelin Pilot tires. I wish I could describe them better. Regardless, for $4,000 I would be just as happy with the standard F-Sport wheel. Maybe I will go by and take a picture just for the heck of it.

Wow...they really loaded that up. At least they threw in the "Courtesy Delivery Sticker".
But yeah....3,995/4 = $998.75/each wheel/tire. That is BS.

Ha ha! I don't even know what a Courtesy Delivery Sticker even is. The wheels are expensive and I don't think they are enough better or different to warrant the price.

You're right, the wheels are not worth $4K. In fact, you can get them from Sewell for $1,800 + shipping.
They're not that bad looking. And much better than a lot of aftermarket wheels I have seen on here.
