Take it to Toyota and let them service it....you will pay less than 1/2 of what Lexus will try and charge you....

Lexus service is a huge ripoff!

Anyone knows how much a 5K and 10K interval service typically cost?

I know first 5K and 10K are free and oil change is every 10K miles. For tires rotation at every 5K I'm just going to bring it to America's Tire cause they'll do it for free.

Is it ok if I just bring it to the dealer every 10K miles? I mean that's when they're going to do real work, the 5K service is basically just for tires rotation and some visual inspection right?

Its usually dependent on the area you live in, could be $230 like were I live or more or even less in some other places. Personally I never do them I just get my oil changed as I see no reason to give them money for unnecessary checks.

Usually u don't need anything except oil changes for the first 50K miles. All the Toyotas I've had never had any problems other than oil changes.

I don't know what happens after 50K miles cause I've never kept my car more than that. But these are Toyotas so they shouldn't have any problems.

I did my 20k service when my odo hit 17k and cost for oil and filter change was 110$ plus a coupon received in the mail so total I paid is 95$ ...

I talked to several dealers and I got different prices for just oil change (and filter). $115, $85, and the Toyota dealer near my house hasn't called me back with a price yet.

Was this done at the dealership? That seems awfully inexpensive for the full 20K service which should include replacing the cabin air filter.

Yes Lexus of Chandler in AZ. it didn't include cabin air filter because i brought the car when it was 13k for smelly AC so they replaced the cabin filter under warranty

Yes oil and filter change plus their 28 points inspection which I doubt they've done
