Default Replacing OEM shift knot.

Hi -- has anyone replaced the shift **** on their '13 GS with a third party **** (specifically a Momo **** in my case)? I am not a big fan of the leather **** and want to replace it with a polished wood and chrome ****. I have the luxury package and so the wood will go well with the wood in the dash.

Any experiences/tips that anyone would care to share on this?

Thanks in advance,
--Ravi.

I prefer to keep mine stock but if you like momo **** in your interior go for it. its easy to replace, just unscrew it, it's that simple. Share photos of the **** on your GS if you don't mind.

Thanks G.

I had previously noticed that the shift **** twists but the leather boot twisted along with it so there did not seem to be a straightforward way to take the OEM **** off. Last night, I gave the boot a semi-firm tug down and it separated from the ****: there is a plastic snap at the top of the boot that slots in to the ****. Given this, if I get a third party ****, I am not sure if it will integrate well with the boot.

At any rate, I will give it a go and post my experiences back here. And will post pics if it all works out.

Thanks again,
--Ravi
