I picked up my new GS 350 today. I've figured out most of the stuff okay, but how, using voice commands, can I get the Play Playlist xxx or Play Album yyy to work when streaming from my iPhone? I can see the playlists and manually scroll through them, but there is an audio command to Play Playlist of Play Album. Does this only work if I wire in the phone? Or how do I do it?

I usually ask SIRI by pushing the home button on my iPhone. The command will route through your cars audio system as if it were a headset.

I know about Siri interface ... but Lexus has a video showing the use of "Play Playlist" from "your iPod"

I assumed the command would work just as well with streaming audio from my iphone ... If I could figure out how to do it. Is anyone doing this successfully?

You can only use commands to play a song/playlist if the iPhone/iPod is connected through USB.

That is correct. Only when plugged into USB.

Otherwise, you can use SIRI EYES FREE by PRESSING AND HOLDING THE OFFHOOK/ANSWER BUTTON FOR 3 SECONDS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE STEERING WHEEL to play a specific song also

In addition you have to use set up in the car to select extended voice commands.
