US GS Prices are Making Me Green
Being from the UK I have been reading some of the deals you lot get and all I can say is that I am extremely jealous.
Last week I picked up a 2012 GS 250 F-Sport with Levinson etc from a UK Lexus dealer. 10k pa limit.
2k GBP Deposit (3.2k USD)
450 GBP Monthly (720 USD)
I'm reading on here about no deposits etc for brand new cars.
Gutted!

I drove off the dealer lot with my brand new GS without paying anything. They even offered me to join their BBQ party but too bad I already have a lunch appointment.

Thats is why every american car manufacturer including toyota are pulling out of Australian market and shutting down factories. Australian economy is not big enough to make manufactering cars there really worth the investment. Now if you want toyota you have to import them and its tax heavily. So on paper Australia is trying to protect its local manufactuer jobs and factories but inadvertantly hurt its own economy by doing so.

Anyways, Lexus costs more in Europe than in the USA..........but Lexus cars in Europe get more features.
For instance, Lexus GS sold in Europe has:
-Automatic High Beam
-Headlamp Washers are standard equipped (as required by EU law)
-NANOE air purification and filtration (which is not available on any USA/Canada market GS)
-AFS OFF switch (not available on GS F-sport sold in North America)
So there, those are the underlying differences...
