Default 15 GS350 F Sport

I found an ultra white GS350 F sport with a clean carfax and 45,000 miles for $23K. It has blind spot monitoring and cold weather package. Seems like an OK deal no? I really didn't want to spend more than $20,000.

I'm having a tough time finding clean F sports, as I don't want lux package.

Will I be able to upgrade the stereo with better components since it doesn't have mark lenvinson?

I have a 15 F-Sport. Not really any upgrades for the stereo other than speakers and amps possibly.
Not a bad price depending on mileage and condition.

You should be able to get it much cheaper, car sales are going to drop bigtime and dealers will have to cut prices.

For reference - 2015 F Sport, 37,000 miles, CPO, Pwr Folding Mirrors/Blind Spot, intuitive park, ML, Nav, Illuminated door sills, was advertised at $28,999 back at the end of January up in Seattle. Car sold within a day after final prep work. It had been in one small accident that hadn't been repaired when the dealer got it - they fixed that. Was really just a front bumper scuff from the photos they sent me. I don't know the final selling price because I couldn't get there in time. I lost a couple because of how quickly they went. The one I purchased I beat out the other buyer by calling 5 minutes before they did (was told this after the fact so it wasn't a selling tactic)

Nothing here seems to stay on the lot for more than a few days, even recently, unless it's a base with just a few options. Granted, in the last week things have changed a lot.

One thing though....the dealer still has to make money, so they can only go so low. If you sell things at a loss you'll go out of business faster than if you try to hold on for a slightly higher price. I wouldn't assume things like this will go down either. During times of recession, used car prices can be higher than normal because more folks want to buy used vs a brand new car.

I think I'm glad I got mine a few weeks ago but I'm a little torn - everything is so weird right now it's hard to tell what will happen. Maybe fewer come off lease because folks decide to buy them rather than go into a new lease. If something like cash for clunkers comes out again, sadly some of these could qualify - combined fuel economy for eligibility last time (in 2009) was 18mpg If that crept up just a little bit it could hit the AWD version. The only saving grace could be that most folks with these would be looking to trade into a car that was too expensive to qualify for the program. Basically there's just a lot of unknowns.

I'd say if the car checks out and you're happy with it see if you can get them down some but I wouldn't screw around trying to save an extra grand. And I'd have my own pre-purchase inspection done if possible - CarFaxes aren't always a 100% accurate. Mine I assumed was fine because of how good it looked but I feel much better knowing my mechanic had it up on the rack and looked all over it for any sort of issue - was definitely worth the $115.

That's what I'm thinking, literally noone is buying cars right now. They should go down 20% at least.

I believe the 2015 GS F-Sport is the best year, it avoids the issues the earlier years had & it has the most straight forward dash & controls without the video game look & feel.
I paid 27 K for mine with 2,500 miles because it is a salvage title. Best car deal ever for me!

Sounds like a decent price to me. Might be able to get a little off.
For reference, I took my 15 to car max last week .AWD, cold weather pkg and blind spot with 38k... they offered $19500

Going to hold off until this pandemic blows over, I'm thinking there will be some great deals to be had on luxury used cars.

Exactly. This has been my take all along. 2015 to me was the crème de la crème year for the GS350. The 2016+ definitely has a refined interior, but it loses the aggressive ride of the 2015. I guess to each his own. I'm just waiting a bit more before getting another 2015, from what I can tell, the prices will keep plummeting.
