Default Looking at a new GS anyone experienced any issues

Hey I'm looking at buying a 4th gen GS within the next yr, I'm wondering if anyone has had any issues so far with the car, it's so new still it's hard to tell if there will be any common issues but just wondering if anything out of the ordinary has happened to you guys, who has the highest mileage so far?

The only issue I had is lack of interest in driving any other car now. It's a great vehicle, would highly recommend and I've had no issues

Got a 2014 in the December to Remember promotion - zero issues, enjoy the car more and more everyday - can hardly wait until spring and some of this ice/snow goes away to really hit up sport mode.

I liked everything except that 2014 with minor transmission issues for me. at slow speed on uphill, it can't decide whether to be on first or second. This is typical for Lexuses though as my wife's RX does this, too.

also enform sux and the nav unit takes time to getting used to.

This.

I'm in MA. Can't wait for some serious nice weather spirited driving.

I'm considering adding one to my limo fleet. I've a 2006 LS430, which I purchased new. It's been an absolute gem of a car, and it's still in service.
How does rear passenger room compare to the LS430?

I just saw a black GS on the road yesterday, it looked awesome.

What? Do NOT buy this car as a limo. There is not that much room in the back seat....it's actually really awful. It's better than the prior generation, but doesn't even compare to the LS. You're better off buying an Avalon.

QFT

For rear comfort, you'd have to drop back down to the ES or pony up to an LS. You can get a nice CPO LS460 for what it's cost you to buy a new GS

Man this car is a blast I haven't had any real major issue's. Only minor issue I have is the rear view camera taking a few minutes to load, which by that time I'm already in drive. I also can't wait for spring so I can put my wheels on, as we are about to get snow tomorrow!

I'll be adding a 460L for sure. Damn GS's exterior looks great though. Thanks guys.

It's not just the room behind the seats either...the GS has the big hump in the back that prevents people from getting in and out...which I would imagine would be a necessary thing for a "limo/taxi".

A little more than a year of ownership... I did experience the squeaky brake prob but it then went away on its own. Other than that no regrets. Nada. Absolutely love this car as a DD. I actually have difficulty deciding what to get when I turn her in at lease end.

Very interesting compliment about the GS. Most of us are not a big fan of the exterior at least at the beginning. I got this car for different reasons but the exterior grew on me without knowing. I now actually like it a lot more than other cars in its class. From what angle did you see the car? The front was my favorite but now the side view from the back is.

14+ month owner here. No major complaints, but some minor "common" issues I've experienced and heard throughout the year:

- indecisive tranny at times. may seem especially strange in S+ mode which is normal and designed to emulate a manual tran
- squeaky brakes.
- stank air from A/C due to not properly airing with outside air before shutting car off
- Some report minor creaking in cabin when radio is off. Some have also reported some wind noise. Not really an issue for me.

Again, all relatively minor. I still love my car and have not had any other major issues **knocks on wood**. Hope to welcome you to the family soon!
