I found the ES to be very imprecise in the way it handled compared to the GS.

As others have said, you can probably get a great deal on a leftover '13 GS.
I agree...I have a 2013 ES as a loaner right now and not really impressed with the car. If you need the extra space then go with the ES otherwise I would go with a GS as others have stated.

I came from having two ES's, and almost got another ES this time, but went to the GS because I was unhappy with the cost cutting in the ES' interior.

The GS is WAY more car than the ES. Overall its a much more substantial and refined car. Only plus is the rear seat for the ES, the rear of the GS is quite tight.

If used doesn't bother you, get the GS. I however am not a used car purchase, and that would be the only thing that would push me towards the ES. Once you go used I might ask myself what about a 3 year old LS?

Agree with LexFather. 68 years old and recently bought a '13 GS 350 and I DO smile every time I step into my GS :-)

I'm sure if you asked the same question in the ES forums, members would resoundingly say "get the ES!"

However, since you asked the members in the GS forum, get the GS!

Joking aside, the GS interior alone is worth the extra $3k.

He did ask the same question on the ES forum He had a couple fanboys tell him the ES was better, but actually quite a few ES owners told him to get the GS.

Its nothing against the ES. I drove two ES's over 10 years and thoroughly enjoyed them, the GS is just much more car for much more money. Its obviously better given the price point. This is a unique opportunity to buy a CPO GS for $3k more, but optioned similarly its a $17,000 more expensive car.

if they hadn't decontented the ES inside to the point where they did...I probably would still be in one. If they didn't have such a better lease on the GS to where the difference was less than $100 a month...I probably would still be in one.

BUT...I will buy this GS out of the lease and keep it when the time comes before I ever go back to an ES now that I have it.
