Default Really Gotta Watch The Curb!!

So drove and I parked my car to go in to get breakfast, my gf noticed that I parked to close. I really would have scraped the front if my car was lower. Just wondering how you all make sure you don't hit the lower lip on the GS F-Sport.

This. I always end up not pulling in much and have my *** hang out a little. You'll get use to it after doing it a few times.

Key is to back in to every spot you park in, or just park in a lot w no curb.

Yes, I've heard the dreaded scraping sound when backing up.

Just out of curiosity, would it be possible to add another park assist sensor to the existing ones in front but down low like the curb alert?

I wonder if another sensor could be spliced in to the existing wire harness, and then placed out of sight to do the same thing as that device. That way you would already have all the warning sounds and lights Lexus already has in place for Park Assist.

It would go off constantly as the road would only be a few inches from the sensor.. Unless you could figure out a way to adjust the sensitivity of the down facing sensor.

Usually I do cause I can use the back-up camera to see, but that day I guess I wanted to go forward.

I'm not slammed but I think I would hit the rear if I didn't have a camera.

Yep this is what I hate. I literally pull in then turn the music down and roll the window down and creep ever so slowly into the spot. I usually have the rear sticking out.

Actually the Infiniti Q50 with the around view camera package (deluxe tech I believe) lets you switch to the front camera when parking. This shows a "grill point of view" and basically how close the curb is. Lexus needs to get on this type of tech.

Don't they have it on the LX? It needs to trickle down to us little people.
