Really Gotta Watch The Curb!!

Here is where I really like the Infiniti/Nissan Around View Monitor. Seriously, it's so brilliant and why can't Lexus/Toyota adopt to it and make it standard across at least Lexus models.... it's available on the Nissan Versa Note for the sake so don't tell me it's about the cost....

Don't quote me on this but I suspect that the height of the curb, the minimal clearance are regulated. So as long as our car is not lowered, it should clear the curb. If lowered, for sure it will scrape some curbs. The one thing that I'm more concerned is when I park on the street along a side walk curb. If the street is tilted and your passenger just opens the door, that would be a disaster.

Honda Accord has a backup camera with a 'topview" as standard on a $30k car!
Why Lexus doesn't add these is beyond me. I would have loved to have them instead of a lot of things in the Luxury package of my 2013 GS.

I always back into spots. This is a place I frequent and I know the curb so I decided to take a pic lol.

I'd rather have a GS F Sport with a scraped bumper than a Q50 without one.

Notice that chunk of concrete taken out of the curb? That's where someone else parked with an even lower front end.
Anyone notice the front end scraping when entering/exiting driveways...like shopping centers and restaurants?
I know you can angle your way in, but sometimes you have to make a very quick left to get in between traffic and there is only one way in....straight.
I'm still in shopping mode for the GS and it must be the places I frequent, because in my previous sedans, they all scraped.
