Default Current Sirius Renewal Prices

I've read the older posts on Sirius renewals. Mine is now up for renewal again and they want $180 for a one-year renewal, which I think is excessive. I got a rude telephone call from Sirius this morning asking for $180 for a one-year renewal or they would cancel and I declined. The lady started getting really rude with me so I just hung up. When my trial subscription expired last year I cancelled and was subsequently sent an offer of about $70 for a one-year renewal which I accepted. Is anyone getting any better deals than $180 for a one-year renewal? I can do without it at that price.

I let mine expire. They keep calling me with $30 for 6 month deals. I still refuse as I never use it.

If it's 50-80$ I don't mind but at that price? They can listen to their own crap for they amount! I heard of someone declining and being able to get 70$ for a year

After getting angry at the first rep for telling me I should cancel if I can't "afford" to pay for the service I hung up and talked to another rep who finally offered me yearly for $110 after taxes/fees/royalties. It's more than the $50 I payed for the first year but it beats the $180 they quoted me first too.

XM is bothering me lately, the whole point of paying a monthly fee is no ads... why am I still listening to ads, I could get that for free with regular radio...

I learned my lesson: NEVER pay with a credit card. They will automatically renew you at whatever rate they want!

I'm just going to dump Sirius when my plan ends in January. The reps are rude, prices are high, and like others have said, lots of ads.

They used to play diverse selections. Now I'm hearing Kiss FM in another state on one of the stations and all their commercials. I'm not paying to hear the local version of someone else's station.

There is iRadio and Pandora as well as my iPod on my cable and my Bluetooth connected iPhone. Plus HD radio. 5 options that are free and vastly better than the games we are asked to engage in.

Their customer service is the worst I've ever seen. I like traffic, CNN, and CNBC, tho, so I pay, as I have a 45 min commute.

Once you cancel they'll offer you 6 months for $25. Even at $25 it isn't worth it. I listen to Pandora on my phone. There are minimal ads, but it's only $4 a month for no ads. It plays through bluetooth and sounds better than Sirius. Their prices were ridiculous and the stations sucked.

Music on satellite radio sounds horrible on the Mark Levinson! Definitely not worth renewing. Pandora and iHeart radio streaming through Bluetooth is way better and free. I'd probably only renew the traffic service because it appears on the map, even though it's slow to update and sometimes inaccurate.
