I'm wondering what the most up to date version for the navigation system is on my 2013 GS 350? Dealership states it's updated but I don't quite believe them!
I called my sales rep and he assured me that I have the updated version. I got my car Sept 22nd.

I got mine late August and it's definitely not the latest version. Here in Texas we have lots of tollways. One of them was extended about 2 years ago. When I drive on that side of it, the nav just goes crazy and pretends I'm in a neighborhood that doesn't exist.

Doesn't mean you don't have the latest version, it may just be that those roads don't exist even in the latest version.
if you got yours in September Kajn you definitely don't have the latest version, they come out in October.
So what's on the update that makes it worth that much?
It's "worth" that much because they can charge that much and they have a monopoly on being able to provide and install the update. On the other hand, when Garmin can charge $50 for lifetime updates to their devices or include them in the cost of their device, maybe what Lexus charges isn't worth it.

Yeah that is possible but I checked the list of updates that the latest Nav update brings, and the section of tollway I was talking about was listed. Texas has a ton of revisions in V13 or whatever the latest is.
Guess I'll just cross my fingers and watch for torrents. Nav updates should be free.
