The only reason to have a nice key is to strategically place in on the bar and watch the women ooh and aah over it. LOL

To the guy saying that the old bmw remote head key, never is broken. ARe you kidding?
you have no idea what your talking about. Those keys batteries, run out, and the remote is trash. The driver door lock, is an emergency lock, like on our GS for when the BMW battery dies. Now That looks goes bad after a couple of turns. Thats when they need to call a locksmith, and have to forcefully unlock the car, and they order a new key from bmw.

I agree, not a fan of the new key, seems bigger and a step back from the previous key.

At least its not as bad as Infiniti, they use the exact same key as Nissan except with a different badge.

Bingo! If you use the the key glove you can barely see the embossed L. But I rather them just make it as small and thin as possible.

I dislike the artificial weighting added to the keyless remote.

This thread is petty. I think the Lexus key in the little leathery sleeve is classy. BMW is cartoon-like and Audi's key fob is almost identical to Nissan's. Actually Nissan's fob looks better.

Focus, guys. Focus.

The Tesla's key takes the cake. Lol that shows you how good the GS is if thats one of the only things owners complain about.

I like the shape and all of the GS' key, but I feel like the quality of the plastic is a step down from the previous smart key I had on the 2010 ES.

The Lexus keyless entry remote is $800 to replace, so I am sure the Germans have found a way to hammer a butterfingered owner $1200 to replace their tarted-up remotes.

Design is subjective, but it's the quality of the new key that comes into question. The new IS, ES, GS all use this crappy plastic. The CT, RX, GX, LX all use the nice old one and the LS has a new one but it is the same nice plastic as the 4 I just mentioned. What the hell Lexus??

To me, the Lexus key is CLEAN. It's doesn't have a large Lexus on the front, but it's clean and can handle the wear very well. I have seen BMW keys 2 years old and everything is faded on the key, including the BMW logo!!! The speaks quality right there. Lexus used the money to make a key that lasts and looks brand new even after 5 years.
