Default Scratched glass

So I walked out to my car and for the past few days it looked like bird poo/dirt on my window and on the glossy black part around the window. (Driver side)I got annoyed finally and said screw it licked my finger and wiped it off. Turns out its scratched!!!!! It's around the seal so at first I thought someone tried breaking into my car. But then I noticed there are 2 scratches on the back seat glass as well.

Could a branch have caused this? When in a parking lot I park in Guam and when I come out no one is next to me....

Nothing really to do about it now but fix it. Can you fix scratches in the glass. It's definitely deep and noticeable when you rub your finger. What about the black shiny part in between the doors. Can that be buffed out?
It's dark so pictures didn't turn out good. I'll have to take pictures tomorrow in the day light.

The B pillars (black shiny part in between doors) can definitely be polished but I'm not so sure about the glass. I actually found out that I had two very deep scratches in my glass too after the car was tinted. I couldn't even the see the difference until the tints were installed a while back.

Buffing glass always induces distortions in the glass.
