Need Help - Vossen CV2 + Brembo
Hello All,
I really appreciate if anyone can help me out with my issue.
I recently installed Vossen Wheel CV2 20" and decided to get Brembo GT Brakes for the front only.
I took it to 2 professional audit mods place to test the "sweep" by taking down the wheel itself and using the fitment provided by Brembo. But the CV2 FAILED the "sweep" test for Brembo installation. Is this true to CV2 wheels?? I'm so disappointed now.
I can't use a .3mm spacers cos my tire is sitting just nice on the fendor.
Team Vossen, if anyone from your team can help, I really appreciate it.
Thanks for the help.

Yeah depends on a few factors as stated above. Email mike@vossenwheels.com and someone will look at this tomorrow.

I believe that is their standard fitment recommend for the 4GS. Being a concave design, the BBK should fit.
If it were NOT a concave design, BBK clearance would depend more on the back cut of the wheel disk so testing the fit with the Brembo BBK template should verify the clearance needed.
There are also a lot of users here that already have Vossen wheels that clear the stock F-Sport BBK making it all the more likely the Brembos will clear:

that should clear with no problem , that does not make any sense , something is wrong , I am running 18" wheels with 35 offset "temporary " ones, and it clears my BBK with no problem.something is not right.

Before this gets to the wrong direction...
Forgot one main data.... My GS is the NON F Sport version...
So I was wondering if this will affect clearance...
My understanding is that the F-Sport breaking system is a bit larger that the Non F Sport.
Thanks agian.

Yup, my fitment is for Non F Sport. It came directly from RacingTechnologies.
I also received an email from Team Vossen.
Current verdict, the CV2 still can't clear the Brembo GT brake.
But, I still love the CV2 design, no regrets!
Thanks again mrpartsman and terrycs.

Wow, that looks great! I love the color Red!!
I'll think abt switching to StopTech brakes.
At the moment, my brain is still stuck w Brembo GT brakes.
Thanks for sharing the awesome pix. I love it!!
Btw, do you need a spacer for installing the StopTech brake?
May I have the product detail of it? Maybe I can use your spec to install the brake on my GS.
Thanks again

Front: 83.529.6700.72
Rear: 83.529.004G.72
The .72 will change if you are considering different caliper colors or slotted instead of drilled.
Whether or not you need spacers will depend on the wheels you are (plan on) using.
For street use on a daily driver, I'd recommend not using the supplied pads and switching to ceramics for less dust and noise.
