I'm glad someone brought this up because this is one of the features I actually dislike. When the car downshifts, I assume that will worsen my gas mileage, no? I actually tried to disable the downshifting by putting the car in manual (8th gear), but cruise control doesn't work in manual apparently. I'm a "momentum" driver if that makes sense, so I feel like some of that is lost when cruising through mild hills and valleys with this feature.

I was never a car guy per say. I was more of a bike guy. Probably went through 10 motorcycles in that time frame. I no longer have the time or space for bikes though so splurged a tad on the GS.

June will be complete my 2nd year with the GS. Will keep it around 6 years this time. We'll see what the 5th gen GS brings or will try something new.

Then you're better off not using cruise control...
