Were there any marks on your sidewalls? Did you actaully hear the rubbing?

More likely your tires will shred before it makes that kind of an impact.

No marks on the tire. It is very minor rubbing issue.

Do you have a version with about 8mm less offset so you can fit a 285/30/20 without any problems?

I have a 10.5 wheel and the rear with 285 and I have absolutely no rubbing. My minor rubbing issue is with my front and I notice I rub just a hair when I am backing up and my wheel is turned. My tire rubs on the inside black plastic.

Do you have F-Sport with rear steering? Also, I see your signature that you have Tanabe springs which does not drop as low as RS-R Down Springs.

I do not have rear steering however I first was dropped on custom made springs which is lower than the RSR drop, see picture.

With that drop my clearance was so little in the rear and I could barley fit a finger at an angle in between the rear fender and tire.

What are you wheel and tire specs?

So my rears are 10.5 inch wheel with a +45 offset and 285-30-20. My fronts are a 9 inch wheel with a +35 offset and 245-35-20.

I knew I was going to be cutting it close on my tire selection with a drop but I rolled the dice because I wanted that extra tire.

Did you ever figure out why your rear tires were rubbing?

Your rear wheel specs are the same as djpeakSD's (10.5 wide w/45 offset), yet he was able to get a 285 on there with no rubbing. I also noticed as I was review the data that there are a couple other Vossen users who have 285 installed on their wheels with no reported isses.

Interestingly, most (if not all) Vossen applications are all the same for this car, yet you were the only one lucky enough to have the rubbing issue reported.

Whether you are lowered on RS-R Down or super down springs, the travel of the rear tire into the fender well is the same so it would have still rubbed even on regular down springs given enough weight in the car.

Perhaps you were also shipped the wrong offset on the rear wheels just like you were on the front wheels?

Or perhaps the rear steer actually made a significant clearance issue?
