DIY hellahorn install 4GS
Tools needed:
10mm socket
Electrical wires
Electrical tape
Wire cutter/splitter
Installation....
1) Simply pop your hood and remove these 9 clips circled in red... press in they should pop loose and just take them out.
2)Once you remove the plate, you should see this (except your horns are black since they're the OEM one, same position as where my red ones are)
-Unbolt the OEM off and unplug it.
3)This may be a little confusing cause you would only see one cooper plug from the OEM but on your HellaHorns there are two plugs. One is for the plug that you unplugged from the OEM and the other one is for you to ground.
-What you need to do now is make use of the electrical cutter/splitter and the roll of electrical wire that you have.
-Cut out about 8inches of the wire, strip both ends.
-Wrap one end on the unplugged plugged of the horn, and tape it in place with electrical wire. (Right now the original plug should be plugged in the other cooper plug of the horn)
-Take the bolt and bolt the horn back in place, while doing this you take the other end of the electrical wire that's hanging loose and ground it onto this nut.
The side of the horn should look like this with the plugs.
This is how it should look when it's grounded and installed for the horn.
Now put everything back in place. If you don't know how to use the clip, simply push them outwards from the bottom of it so it looks like this.
Take this clip pop it back into the hole, and push the clip til it's parallel to the side of the clip. Not really good at explaining lol, you'll get it when you're doing this xP

Some people may like it and want it? It's really base on others preference if they want it or not.
I'll be honest with you, I use my horns at most once a year, I hardly honk or anything with my car. I had this laying around from my previous show car, I was bored so I installed it. Not trying to sound like a **** or whatever, but you really didn't have to leave anything negative on my thread. Simply just ignore it.. I only posted a DIY by request from my build thread.

I use my horn practically every day behind someone who sits at a light texting until it turns red or who turns from the far right lane to the left lane across 4 lanes or who gets in the left lane and doesn't turn on their left turn signal until all traffic has stopped behind them. The louder the better! Do they sell semi horns?

I'm actually not quite sure if they do sell a semi horn but I can check for you next week. I'll ask my friends at the shop.
You can ground it anywhere, I just chose those two bolts cause it was the closest .

Looks like a good albeit small project. Not my cup of tea but if that's your thing just don't scare me to death with it ... LOL. If anybody decides to do this just be very careful near the rad with tools. I can't tell you how many times i've had friends wind up with a hole from a tool. It's very easy to do!

Looks really good. The only thing I would have done different is I would have used black wires for the ground so they would be less noticeable. I really like how red contrasts with everything else.
