Default How To Clean Dash

Ok, I really just want to be sure on how to clean the dash on our cars since they are leather do I use a leather cleaner and conditioner from Lexus or should I just not touch it. I didn't want to clean and condition it because I'm worried about the leather cracking since the sun is hitting it most of the day. Thanks in advance!

I don't believe its leather, I think its NuLuxe.

I would use something like Meguiars Interior Quick Detailer, and just a california dash duster. No need to protect it IMHO, the protection is built in.

If you really are worried about it I would recommend Ultima Interior Guard.

You can buy a windshield protector that keeps the sun out. I bought one that fits the GS350 perfectly. If you are interested in the company I bought it from, let me know and I will check. I can't remember off hand what company.

Is it Nuluxe I thought it was real leather. I will try the Ultima Interior guard, got any suggestions as to where I can purchase it from.

I would buy Ultima products from AutoGeek:

http://www.autogeek.net/ultima-car-care.html

The Interior Guard and the Interior Shampoo gel are great products, as are all their products actually.

The Interior Guard is kind of like a sealant for the interior, you can use both on any interior surface, leather, plastic, vinyl, wood, etc.

Yes you are right found the thread on it, apparently the top is Nuluxe and
the front facing the passenger is leather. This was from the thread. so I guess it's both. Thanks here is the link. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ther-dash.html

i gets the dust out of the vents and cleans the dashboard, it's not so good on the piano black pieces. i don't wipe those because they scratch too easily.
it's a gel that forms into any shape. i used it on the Tach screen and the nav screen, because i don't wipe them, because after a while the scratches will look ridiculous. i find that it works better on the dash. it's not bad and it will last a long time because you can reuse it.

I use 1Z Cockpit Premium, works well. You can use some 303 Aerospace on it if you want some additional UV protection.

+1 on quick interior detailer.

offers UV protection as well to prevent fading, cracking, etc.
