Wheel (and tire) decisions!

The 20 inch wheels look fine without lowering springs. My AWD model would sit another half-inch higher, but I don't know how noticeable that would be. yardie876, your color combination is exactly what I envisioned, Liquid Platinum with graphite wheels (in Vossens at least). My only pause if the fact they are matte finish. It's a shame they aren't available in gloss.

I found another gallery full of GS models; most shown without lowering springs.

I ordered a set of the F Sport full face forged 10-spoke wheels. Since I have AWD I purchased four wheels in the 19" x 8" size. Here are the part numbers:
F Sport forged 10-spoke wheels (19" x 8"): PTR4530102
F Sport wheel installation kit: PTR2730010
Tire pressure monitor sensor: 4260730060KIT
The total price of the wheel components was ~$2,200. All that remains is to select tires. I am leaning toward Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires in the size 245/40 R 19.

would like to see this rim on 4GS !!! THX
I'm looking at a Volk G25 wheels in 19" x 8.5" + 45 mm offset. If I used 245/40 R 19 tires, would these provide a fitment similar to a stock F Sport model (albeit with a marginally wider rim and tire)? It looks pretty close using this calculator. Also, where are some good online sources for Rays/Volk or Work wheels?

quick question guys
I too have a luxury model that I want to swap out to 19 or 20 inchers. I assume that the 20 would be a poor ride, so thinking 19 would be better.
It seems from teh posts that I would have to get the Lexus Fsport rims sicne I haev AWD to maintain corect specs, so I cant get something like the Vossen rims. Is that correct?
Thanks

Due to the wheel rim's width, it seems that a mildly "stretched" tire configuration is required for fender clearance.

The F Sport forged 10-spoke wheels are 8 or 9 inches wide. I believe they use a positive 40 mm offset. This places most of the outer tread within the fender area. The Vossen wheels are 9 or 10.5 inches wide. They use lower positive offsets. Using a lower offset with a wider wheel effectively places the wheel rim further outward on the vehicle. I guess the idea is to get the top of the wheel and tire as close to the edge of the highest portion of the fender's exterior opening. I think it looks a little off when the vehicle is at the stock height:
