Default My GS350 and modifications - UPDATED w/new pics

Purchased in June 2012, and I have almost 14k miles on her, and it's still like new. My favorite car I've owned, so time for some changes:

Modifications:
  • Huper Optik ceramic tint (50%)
  • Non F Sport Spoiler
  • 19" F Sport Forged Wheels Staggered (w/new TPMS sensors part # 46207-30060, and lugs)
  • Conti ExtremeContact DWS Tires
  • RS*R Sport Down Springs (coming soon)

Sourced wheels, lugs and sensors from Sewell w/CL discount, spoiler and tint from dealer, tires from Tirerack.com, and the springs via the CL group buy.

Tint and spoiler got installed this past Monday, and the wheels/tires go on this Friday (the wait is killing me), so those are just teaser pics. The tint is just right for me because I'm primarily interested in UV and heat protection. I'll take more complete pics later this weekend. First pic was when it was fresh off the lot, and the last pic is my old ride, now my daughter's - who needs to learn how to wash cars!

One note on the G35, I experimented with Duplicolor's Tireshine on the front right tire about 5 weeks ago, and it turned out surprisingly well, especially when you compare it to the right rear that hasn't been treated and that it's been driven through a lot of crappy weather since I applied it.

Here are some pics:

Congrats. Looking good. Please let us know how it rides after you switch the wheels. I'm interested and looking for a bigger set for my luxury.

The gs wheels looks pretty good. Why didn't you stagger them?

you're driving the **** out of that car... 14K already. well, that's what you bought her for, to drive her. i have 8K + and i swapped the SP F Sport in June 2012 for the Obsidian. i like what you've done so far and the wheels will look great once installed. what's the ETA on your springs?

Thanks guys! I'll post updates as things get done.

Yeah Syd, my daily commute is just about 60 miles round trip, sometimes double that on certain days. I typically put 15-16k a year on cars. The G in the pictures has almost 210k on it. This car is just awesome to drive, and I get lots of opportunities to change driving modes and have fun while driving, or just sit back and listen to the ML system. Sometimes I try to see what kind of gas mileage I can squeeze out of it. Best so far is 28.7, and my average is around 24.

ETA on springs I think is around April maybe. The group buy ends on March 8th, and the thread said something about potentially April delivery. The car really needs a slight drop, nothing drastic, but just enough to close the gap. I lowered that G a bit much, and have gone through a few fascias during the years, not to mention a few raccoons and rabbits...

Those wheels are my favorite. I have them on my GS350 F-sport AWD nebula grey. i got them on last week with Michelin tires. They are awesome. No drop needed for me. I have size 245/40/19 tires.

^^^ I saw your post with those wheels a couple days ago, very nice!

Why the 245's instead of the 225's recommended for the wheels? I went with 225 up front and 255 in back per http://lexus.sewellparts.com/pdf/PTR45.pdf.

I'm thinking that extra width for rim protection and grip?

Not sure why the instruction pamphlet with these wheels say to go for 225 width tires if the car with the f-sport 19 inch rims standard come with 235 width. I went up by 10 mm to 245 for better choices of tires and there is no rubbing or issues at all. The speedo error is 1% which is nothing.
