Question She's for sale...life changes.

So, looks like ill be selling her due to two major life changes...

1. Building a new house in the country and will now be living on a dirt road.
2. Third child on the way....YAY!!!!

My question for all of you is what should I be getting for her?

Read my signature and you'll see what she has for options. I purchased her in May of 2012. She will turn exactly 8 months old on Jan 21st with 8500 miles on the clock. She also has full set of WeatherTech floor liners plus the OEM all weather mats. The DuPont outside/inside protectant was $1200 value. Always garaged and very well taken care of.

Thanks for you advice!

Man sad to see you parting with the GS. I bought my GS in Oct. for $48,000 OTD down from $51,000 and it had a little over 10,000 miles so you're probably looking at mid forties. Have you thought about what you'd be replacing her with?

Mine was 61,000. So I hope I'd see more than mid 40s.

You will, i got 49,000 for my Premium from my dealer 8 months and 10,000 miles in. I then bought a luxury model because i missed the car.

Private party I would bet you could get 53-56k.

I forgot to mention I bought mine used. The MSRP was at $60,000 since it had the DRS, HUD, ML, etc. It was purchased by the original owner in Feb. and I bought it in Oct for $48,000 plus TTL. So thats roughly 8 months and 10,000 miles and it depreciated around $10,000. I'd imagine it would be around the same for you.

Oh I forgot to congratulate you on the new addition to the family!

sorry to hear you have to part with the GS. Glad to hear about the new addition to the family... congratz to you and the wife. dirt roads can actually be kind of cool, especially if you have a cool house at the end of it. you have the lux, you probably won't get anything extra for the weather techs or the dupont protectant unless you sell it privately. i think you're looking at $50/55K. what about the cool emergency lights you had installed?

$55k is really on the high side. I'd guess high $40k's.

Congrats on the new changes!

High 40's ... expect any higher and subsequently closer to what someone can buy new.... and in most cases they will buy new!

I did..

First off...thanks for everyone's congrats on the new addition...we're very excited and have been trying for a while, but had kind of given up.

I also really appreciate all your input on the price for my car. I'm really close to Canada and tend to sell most of my vehicles to them...as they typically pay more for the same car in their country. I think I’ll sell the car for low $50s private sale to Canada.

Wish me luck!

Now I need to look for a daily driver I don't mind driving on dirt roads when mud season hits here in Vermont. Thinking something cheap like a Camry, but then need to fill my stall at home with something fun for good weather...maybe Nissan 370Z Nismo, Audi TT RS, Porsche Cayman S, etc. Any ideas?
