So after checking the Sewell Lexus parts page i see that the OEM F Sport trunk spoiler is almost $1k i knew something wasnt right. So i called my local Lexus dealer to see how much it would cost for the OEM F Sport spoiler. They quoted me list price $299 and my garage price $254 plus the two nuts to install the spoiler was .73 cents a piece. So my total price is $255.46 for the spoiler so right from there i realize that Sewell Lexus knows that us Non F Sport owners would want to eventually add the spoiler so they jacked up the price on the website.

Even aftermarket rear spoilers were $500-$900 depending on which model and brand you choose. The OEM accessory spoiler is out of the question because IMO its ugly.

My question to all of you F Sport owners is if you can provide me with pics of how your OEM spoiler is installed because i would like to see where the holes would have to be drilled. Im also wondering if you remove the inside trunk liner if there are markings showing where you would have to drill.

I know that Sewell is a business but marking up that spoiler to almost $1k is RAPE!!!!!

Any help would be great and ill make a DIY when i install it for future references

the F Sport spoiler is $980.00, $724.00 with the CL discount. the spoiler your dealer is quoting is not the F Sport spoiler, (slap the parts guy when you see him or whoever quoted you that price for the F Sport spoiler). it is in fact the spoiler that you don't want.

i had the dealer double check because i didnt believe the price he told me either so he asked for a VIN so i gave him a VIN from a F Sport that was for sale on ebay and he made sure it was the OEM F Sport not the OEM acessory spoiler

then sewell would have marked up the price 70%... interesting. yeah, make sure they gave you the right part# or some other members will chime in i'm sure. i don't think sewell would try to stiff us, 70% mark up is nothing to shrug your shoulders about. the price for the spoiler you don't like is actually $299.00, $233.00 with the CL discount. i'm thinking you might have to slap somebody.

yea i was thinking the same thing its very interesting but ill check again to be sure. im not sure if they overpriced it like that to make you buy the F Sport option

The accessory spoiler looks better IMO. It's larger. The F Sport spoiler looks like a speed bump on the trunk lid.

That part number is the fsport spoiler. I just looked it up on oemlexusparts. Came in around Sewell's forum pricing.

Your right I do have to slap someone. Looks like the parts guy I talked to the other day was on his way out and he knew it so he was purposely giving out wrong prices to body shops and garages all week.

Finding this out really had put me in a bad mood this morning

Anyways I ordered one from Dallas Automotive Restyling I spoke with someone name John and he knew exactly what spoiler I was looking for. He said "you must be looking for the F package spoiler" according to him they sell a good amount of those per week. He quoted me $289 shipped and painted for the spoiler. The spoiler comes with double sided 3m tape and hardware if you want to drill into your trunk. He recommends that I use use the double sided tape and use a little bit of silicone if I choose not to drill holes into the trunk.

I asked about the fit and finish of their spoiler and he guarantees that its a exact replica of the OEM F Sport and exact paint match. I just can't see myself paying $800 for the OEM F Sport spoiler. I'm sure some people don't mind but for $289 I'm more then happy and I got the exact spoiler I was looking for.

it doesn't matter if people mind or not. if you're not comfortable with spending that much on a spoiler, then so be it. it's your car and your money. if you're happy after the spoiler is installed, then that's all that matters. "problem solved".

It's the Artisan Kit. its really expansive and its only for the non f sport model.The spoiler is about 500
