Wierd Sound...
Yesterday I happen to go in the garage, and heard a strange sound, sounded like a compressor motor by quieter, yet it could be clearly heard in the garage. Could not figure out where it came from, but almost 100% sure it came from the rear of the GS, below the vehicle, almost as of it was the fuel pump going crazy. The car had been parked for about 1-2 hrs at that point. It lasted about 40 secs or so and then it stopped. Any idea what that sound is and is that normal? Is there an evaporator motor or something in the tank?

was it like a hissing sound? because i heard the same thing when i exited my car the other night, but the car was still on. it was coming from the rear driver side and when i stooped down in front of the tire i am sure it was coming from under there somewhere. there's nothing wrong with the tire, i.e. losing air etc.

Here is something on Page 8 from the Owner's Manual:
Noise from under vehicle after turning off the engine
Approximately five hours after the engine is turned off, you may hear sound coming
from under the vehicle for several minutes. This is the sound of a fuel evaporation
leakage check and, it does not indicate a malfunction.
