Nope. Us seasoned owners have gone down that road many a time. Would love if I could start off in sport.

So the dealership is telling me in order for it to remember the last setting used I need to purchase some kind of module and it's 900$....

It's all software based and built into the existing computer in the car. I don't see how any of our cars have a $900 module your car doesn't. You should ask them for the item number and see what they say. I'd love to know.

I'm getting confused...are you referring to the last seat ventilator/heater setting used, or the last drive mode used?

Sorry...the thread started talking about retaining the seat settings and branched into retaining the drive mode, so I wasn't sure if the module the dealer was talking about was for the seats or the drive mode...I can barely understand it for the drive mode. To meet EPA standards, Lexus delivers the car so it won't stay in sport or sport plus modes when restarting the car.

Not sure about it. My 2011 IS350 I ran the ventilated seats year around all the time. They were on every time I started the car. However it was a manual dial to turn them on. But once turned on the stayed on, light came on and I felt air every time I started the car up regardless of out side temp. I'm hot natured and honestly don't care about leather seats the make my butt hit :-) so I used them everyday till I sold the car 4weeks ago. The never cut off unless I turned them off with the main control ****. So I'm surprised yours are not however you left them when the car cut off? I haven't seen 2013 GS seats though, so not familiar with how the turn on? I would assume very much like my IS was? So not sure why it isn't working, good luck with the resolution on it though.

Can you get the part number from them so that we can do some research =) I'm curious to know if there are multiple body control modules and all he's doing is swapping yours for an earlier revision.

Okay so the part # is

88650-30570

This is for the module for the last setting used on ventilated / heated seats!

I don't see anything with that part #. Still think the dealer is BSing you. I don't understand why you'd be missing the module in the first place.
